Symantec Storage Shelf
hardware removal and
replacement
This chapter provides information regarding the removal, installation, and
replacement of the Symantec Storage Shelf device, components, and peripherals.
Before you begin
Before working with your Symantec Storage Shelf, read and understand the safety
information section in this manual.
Note:
When you service the device, you must first power down the device
through the OS. Make sure no programs or peripherals are running. Then
unplug all peripheral devices and the AC power cord.
Tools and supplies
Phillips (cross head) screwdrivers (#1 bit and #2 bit)
Needle nosed pliers
Anti-static wrist strap and gloves and conductive foam pad (recommended)
