Installing the
New Head
15. Inspect ȱ the ȱ replacement ȱ head ȱ and ȱ make ȱ sure ȱ that ȱ the ȱ O Ȭ ring ȱ seals ȱ are ȱ
in ȱ place ȱ (see ȱ figure 6 Ȭ 70).
16. Gently ȱ insert ȱ the ȱ replacement ȱ head ȱ into ȱ the ȱ vacant ȱ slot ȱ in ȱ the ȱ print ȱ
block ȱ and ȱ push ȱ the ȱ print Ȭ head ȱ driver ȱ card ȱ into ȱ its ȱ socket.
Note: Make sure to insert the head with the driver card facing its socket, in
the rear of the print block.

17. Push ȱ the ȱ head ȱ up ȱ until ȱ you ȱ hear ȱ it ȱ click ȱ into ȱ place, ȱ in ȱ both ȱ front ȱ and ȱ
rear ȱ holders.

18. Lower ȱ the ȱ door ȱ of ȱ the ȱ print ȱ head ȱ compartment ȱ and ȱ tighten ȱ the ȱ screws ȱ
to ȱ lock ȱ it ȱ in ȱ place.
19. Tighten ȱ the ȱ upper ȱ and ȱ lower ȱ screws ȱ that ȱ secure ȱ the ȱ print ȱ head ȱ in ȱ the ȱ
print ȱ block ȱ (see ȱ figure 6 Ȭ 66 ȱ on ȱ page 46).
Note: Hand-tighten these screws. Do not use a screwdriver.
