External UV meter
The following steps apply when using a stand-alone UV meter. They do
not apply when using the Stratasys UV sensor connected to the printer.
1. When
ȱ
the
ȱ
following

screen
ȱ
appears,
ȱ
open
ȱ
the
ȱ
printer
ȱ
and
ȱ
place
ȱ
the
ȱ
UV
ȱ
sensor
ȱ
at
ȱ
the
ȱ
rear
ȱ
edge
ȱ
of
ȱ
the
ȱ
tray,
ȱ
in
ȱ
the
ȱ
center.

2. Lead
ȱ
the
ȱ
cable
ȱ
out
ȱ
of
ȱ
the
ȱ
printer
ȱ
so
ȱ
that
ȱ
you
ȱ
can
ȱ
close
ȱ
the
ȱ
printer,
ȱ
and
ȱ
make
ȱ
sure
ȱ
that
ȱ
the
ȱ
cable
ȱ
will
ȱ
not
ȱ
interfere
ȱ
with
ȱ
the
ȱ
moving
ȱ
ȱ
block.
3. Close
ȱ
the
ȱ
printer,
ȱ
while
ȱ
checking
ȱ
that
ȱ
the
ȱ
sensor
ȱ
does
ȱ
not
ȱ
move
ȱ
out
ȱ
of
ȱ
position.
4. Set
ȱ
the
ȱ
UV
ȱ
meter
ȱ
to
ȱ
measure
ȱ
mJ/cm2.
5. Set
ȱ
the
ȱ
range
ȱ
on
ȱ
the
ȱ
meter
ȱ
to
ȱ
2,000.
6. Connect
ȱ
the
ȱ
cable
ȱ
from
ȱ
the
ȱ
sensor
ȱ
to
ȱ
the
ȱ
UV
ȱ
meter.
ȱ
7. Turn
ȱ
on
ȱ
the
ȱ
UV
ȱ
meter,
ȱ
and
ȱ
wait
ȱ
until
ȱ
“0
ȱ
0
ȱ
0.0”
ȱ
appears
ȱ
on
ȱ
the
ȱ
display.
8. In
ȱ
the
ȱ
wizard
ȱ
screen,
ȱ
confirm
ȱ
that
ȱ
the
ȱ
sensor
ȱ
is
ȱ
positioned
ȱ
correctly,
ȱ
and
ȱ
click
ȱ
