Attention!
If a voltage of more than 3V is present in it when testing a pair of wires, the signal supply
to this pair is blocked. In the row of the table will indicate:
>3V
.
In the presence of large external interference on the cable (including de-energized), the
operation of the reflectometer will be blocked. In the row of the table will indicate:
"Noise"
If due to the long cable length or significant attenuation it is not possible to get a response
(even from the end of the cable) in the row of the table will indicate:
"No defects!"
8.5.4. MANUAL MODE
MANUAL mode is used to test two-wire cables or a pair of multi-wire cable to obtain more
detailed information about the heterogeneity in the cable than in AUTOMATED mode.
In AUTOMATED mode, the screen displays only the distance to one heterogeneity, with a
maximum response level.
In MANUAL mode, the screen displays:
result tables of "Set 1" and "Set 2" with information about all detected heterogeneities in a
pair of wires (Fig. 83, item 1 and item 3);
reflectogram (Fig. 83, item 1).
Fig.83
RESULT TABLES ("Set 1" and "Set 2")
Result tables displayed all detected responses in the connected pair of wires (Fig. 83, item 4).
Data can be obtained after a single test of this pair or after a test cycle in AUTOMATED mode.
Each row corresponds to one detected heterogeneity. The row displays the number of
heterogeneity ("No."), the distance to the heterogeneity ("Distance") and the level of response
from the heterogeneity ("Level").
