8. SOFTWARE
8.1. GENERAL INFORMATION
8.1.1. PURPOSE
1.
Configuring the Electronic Switch.
2.
Devices control.
3.
Analysis of the results of testing in real time.
4.
Saving in graphical and text format test results.
5.
When using NLJD or REF, the saved results can be used for comparative analysis in
subsequent test of the same cable.
6.
Firmware update.
8.1.2. PC REQUIREMENTS
1.
Operating system: Windows 7, 8, 10 (64 bits).
2.
Free hard disk space: at least 1 Gb.
3.
Availability of USB port.
4.
MS Office software is installed on the PC.
5.
A program for viewing graphic files is installed on the PC.
8.1.3. INSTALLING THE SOFTWARE
Distribution kit is located in the "Prog_ST301" folder on the flash card
(Fig.1, item 3).
INSTALLATION:
1.
Copy the folder "Prog_ST301" to PC HDD.
2.
Install the ST 301 driver (run the CDM21228_Setup.exe).
3.
Run the ST301.exe file. The PC screen is shown in Fig.61. The message on the indicator
(Fig.61, item 1) will display: "ST301: no connection! " in red color.
4.
Using the mini-USB patch cord
(Fig.1, item 4)
connect the main unit to the PC. The
alternating messages will appear on the connection indicator: "ST301: request to connect
... " in blue color and "ST301: no response! " in red color.
5.
Turn on the main unit. The message "ST301: connected" should appear on the indicator
(Fig.61, item 1) and on the ST 301 screen.
After that, the software is considered to be successfully installed on the PC.
8.1.4. ACCUMULATOR CHARGE CONTROL
After the start of the software, the splash screen is displayed on the main unit screen

It does not have an indicator of accumulator charge level. For this purpose, the indicator on the
PC screen is used (Fig.61, item 7).
