A screen for entering comments will appear on the screen (cable identification data and the
value of the Shortening Factor used with the test).
The date and time of testing will be indicated in the properties of the created file. After
entering the comment, click "Save". The file is saved according to the standard WIDOWS
procedure with the location and file name.
8.5.7. COMPARISON MODE
The comparison mode allows to get information about the change in the heterogeneity in the
pairs of wires of the cable being tested after the previous test (if this data was saved). This mode
is convenient for periodic testing of the same cable.
Procedure:
1.
Download the saved file by clicking
(Fig.84, item 3). After loading, the indicator
(Fig.84, item 4) will display the file name and the entered comment.
The Switch will be configured according to the saved settings.

Set the Shortening Factor specified in the file comments

Click
(begin a measurement cycle in all combinations of connected wires). After
the scan is completed, the Switch table (for each pair of wires) displays information about the
connection structure and the distance to the heterogeneity with the maximum level of response.

The label on the button will turn red (Fig. 85, item 1). In the Switch
table, the numbers of pairs in which changes are detected will be highlighted in red (Fig. 85, item
2). When setting the tabular cursor on such a row, the test results will be displayed in the "Set 1"
and "Set 2" tables. Differing parameters will be highlighted in red (Fig. 85, item 4 and item 5).
The information field (Fig. 85, item 3) displays the changes.
Two reflectograms will be displayed on the screen (Fig.85, item 6):
reflectogram in green color - current test results,
reflectogram in red color - based on saved data.
