Detection of HF signals in power mains and low-current cables is implemented in two modes:
In the
MANUAL
mode
information on loading of range is presented in the spectrogram form.
For setup of the receiver for the detected signal it is necessary to set on it a marker by means of
the
or buttons. Information can be also presented in the form of a differential spectrogram in
DIFFERENTIAL mode.
In the AUTOMATED mode information on loading of range is presented in the form of the table
in which parameters of the detected signals are entered. For setting of the receiver for frequency
of the detected signal the operator should install the tabular cursor on the corresponding row of
the table. At a large number of the detected signals the AUTOMATED mode is much more
convenient manual.
For the analysis of the detected signal in MANUAL and AUTOMATED the mode the SIGNAL
ANALYSIS AT A FIXED FREQUENCY and OSCILLOSCOPE are used.
The greatest efficiency of search of HF of transmitters is reached at the combined use of the
MANUAL and AUTOMATED operation modes of the WR.
7.2.1. IMPLEMENTATION OF BASIC OPERATION #2
POWER MAINS (229 V /50 Hz) TESTING
Initial status
The power mains under test is powered and it is possible to de-energize it. In the room,
devices consuming electricity (office equipment, lamps, etc.) are connects to the power mains
according to the standard scheme. The power mains supplies only this room.
It is assumed that in the room on the power mains or in devices connected to it, high-
frequency transmitters can be installed that transmit information outside the premises through
the same power mains.
Test algorithm
1. De-energize the power mains (turn off the power switch in the switchboard).
2. Make sure there is no voltage in the power mains.
3. Disconnect all equipment from the power mains (unplug the power plugs from sockets).
4. Connect the adapter
(Fig.1,
item 7)
to the main unit and to the socket of the tested cable.
5. Turn on Analyzer. Turn on WR.
6. Set cable type - POWER MAINS (item "Mains" in menu).
7. Set the frequency range. De-energized cable spectrogram will be displayed on the screen.
8. Set optimum level of the detected signals ("F4").
When testing the power mains, the Switch automatically connects the "1-2" pair of wires, which
corresponds to the configuration of the contacts in the adapter plug. Switch control at the same
time is blocked. In information line, the icon
(test of the power mains) is displayed.
