The memory card must be formatted before recording.
⚠
Reformatting a card will erase all data on the card.
To (re)format an SD or CF card:
1. Press the MENU button.
2. Turn and press the Headphone encoder to select File Stor
-
age.
3. Do either of the following:
◦ Select Erase/Format CF to reformat a Compact Flash
card.
◦ Select Erase/Format SD to reformat a Secure Digital
card.
4. Press the Headphone encoder to begin the formatting process.
5. Read any warning message(s) and press the Headphone encoder to contin
-
ue.
6. Press the METERS button to return to the Main screen.
Using the Transport Control
The 5-position Transport control is used to perform all recording and playback
functions.

Record
Push up the Transport Control.
Begins recording a new file.
Pause / Stop
Press in the Transport Control.
While recording, press once to stop recording.
While in playback, press once to pause, and
press again to stop. While in standby, press
and hold to display next take name.
Play
Push down the Transport Control.
Begins playback of the last file recorded or file
currently loaded.
Rewind / Load previous take
Push the Transport Control Left.
While in standby, push left to load the previous
take. While in playback, push and hold left to
rewind.
Fast forward / Load next take
Push the Transport Control Right.
While in standby, push right to load the next
take. While in playback, push and hold right to
fast forward.
