Setting Output Type and Nominal Level
By default, left XLR, right XLR, 10-pin A, and 10-pin C balanced outputs are set
to analog Line (+4 dBu nominal) level. However, each output may be set to Mic,
Line, and -10 (analog). Additionally, left XLR, right XLR and 10-pin A may be set
to AES (digital).
The TA3 outputs (L/R, X1/X2) send balanced analog signal, and by default are
set to Line level. However, each TA3 output may be set to Mic, Line, and -10
(analog).
Additionally, inputs 1-6 have corresponding direct outputs on balanced TA3
connections, which by default are set to Line level and PreFade. The direct TA3
outputs may be set to Line, -10, or Mic level (40 dB of attenuation versus Line).
i
AES digital input signals are not available on direct outputs.
To set output level and type:
1. Press the MENU button.
2. Turn and press the Headphone encoder to select an OUTPUTS submenu,
which include: XLR-L Out, XLR-R Out, TA3-L Out, TA3-R Out, TA3-X1 Out,
TA3-X2 Out, or Direct Out Levels.
3. Turn and press the Headphone encoder to select the output type. Options
for each output will vary, but can include: Mic, Line, -10 or AES.
Setting Direct Outputs Pre- or Post-Fade
Inputs 1-6 have corresponding direct outputs on balanced TA3 connections,
which by default are set to send signal pre-fade. This may be changed globally
for all six connections.
To adjust the Direct Out Pre/Post setting:
1. Press the MENU button.
2. Select OUTPUTS > Direct Out Pre/Post.
3. Turn and press the Headphone encoder to select either PreFade or PostFade.
