6.1

Unpacking, installing and connecting

Two options are available for connecting the SIMATIC MV540 H CRANES camera to a controller: 

　

 

1. PROFINET interface 

To connect the Ethernet interface of the SIMATIC 540 H CRANES camera to the PROFINET 
interface of the SIMOTION module, proceed as described in these Operating Instructions: See 
the chapter Connection via PROFINET IO (Page 120). This connection is recommended for 
use with:

– SIMOCRANE SC Integrated (on SIMOTION D435-2 DP/PN with CBE30-2)

– SIMOCRANE CeSAR standalone (on SIMOTION C240PN) 

　

 

　

 

2. UDP interface 

The option of an Ethernet UDP link is provided for controllers that do not support PROFINET. 
If you are using SIMOCRANE SC Integrated on SIMOTION D435-2 DP/PN without CBE30-2, 
only the UDP protocol is available as a communication protocol. See the chapter Connection 
via Ethernet UDP (Page 128).
