The accuracy of deflection for the x and y axes can be up to ± 4 mm at 75 m.
This accuracy depends on the reflector size and on the distance between the camera and the
reflector.
Measuring the rotation angle
The camera uses the reflector skew to determine the rotation angle. The resolution depends on
the reflector size and the distance.
The maximum measurable rotation angle is ± 15°. A larger skew would prevent the camera from
recognizing the pattern of the reflector.
The measuring accuracy of the rotation angle can be up to ± 0.05° at a distance of 20 m.
Measuring the rotation angle using the additional reflector
An additional reflector can be installed as an option to achieve a high measuring accuracy of the
rotation angle even at greater distances. A further rotation angle (Skew2) can therefore be
calculated based on the center points of both reflectors.

The measuring accuracy of the rotation angle can be up to ± 0.03° at a distance of 75 m.
Measuring the distance between camera and reflector
Based on the size of the reflector, the camera measuring system calculates the distance between
camera and reflector. The accuracy of the distance measurement is approximately 3%.
The distance between the camera and the reflector can range from 2 m to 75 m depending on
the reflector model.
Image acquisition
The camera acquires the reflector image to be processed using digital image acquisition.
Following image acquisition, the image is analyzed by a powerful digital signal processor.
During the analysis, multistage complex algorithms are used.
The results of the evaluation are transferred to an automation system connected via the
communication interfaces.
The user is supported when working with the camera, as the parameters for image acquisition
and processing are set by the device. Once the camera is installed and set up, it starts to search
for a reflector in the image.
