9.1 Connection via PROFINET IO
9.1.1 Preparing the SIMATIC MV540 H CRANES camera for PROFINET IO
Step 1
1. Open the user interface (Web Based Management = WBM) of the SIMATIC MV540 H CRANES
camera. Select the "Communication" menu from the menu tree to define the parameters of
the communication interface.
2. Under "Interfaces", select "Ethernet" → "IP mode" → "PROFINET (FB79)".
Specify the "Device name". The "Device name" must match the name entered in the "HW
Config" of the PLC or SIMOTION controller and must be unique in the network.

3. Under "Use" → "Connection", select "PROFINET IO" in the "Text", "Result" and "Control" drop-
down lists.
4. The SIMATIC MV540 H CRANES camera must be rebooted after you save the settings.
