Rear of Synergy Q/MD Frame with Support Brackets Installed

4. Install the frame into the rack, as desired, and secure the support brackets to the rack 

rails.

5. Re-install the frame door.

This completes the procedure for securing the support brackets to the frame.

Please note:

•

The system is shipped with the door on.

•

The system is shipped with all circuit boards, the requested quantity of input and output 
boards, and the power supply already installed. If you have reason to remove or install 
additional printed circuit boards, refer to the section “

Removing/Installing Circuit 

Boards

” on page 3-19. Most boards are hot-swappable, and the circuit board extractors 

on the sides of the boards allow easy installation and removal.

As a precaution after installation, ensure that all boards are tightly pushed into their 
midplane connectors.

•

Some of the daughter boards may have come loose during shipping. Check, and if 
necessary reseat, Squeeze & Tease Channel, WARP, DSP, and XFX cards. refer to the 
section “

Removing/Installing Circuit Boards

” on page 3-19 and Chapter 27, “
