Communications — Extra Options Menu
11. Select the type of querying command for the Pbus device as follows:
• Use the Com Port knob to select the Pbus device you want to set the querying
command type for.
• Use the Option knob to select Query Cmd .
• Use the Value knob to select the type of Query Command you want. You can select
between the following:
~
Strict — Select this option to be able to control only devices connected to your
Pbus device that respond to the Query Command
~ Relaxed — Select this option to be able to control all devices connected to
your Pbus device whether they respond to the Query Command or not.
~ Silent — Select this option to not send status information from the switcher to
your Pbus device.
This completes the procedures for setup of the Peripheral Interface II Protocol option.

Q/MD/X Operator’s Manual for operating settings.
Refer to the section “ Pbus ” on page 10-35 for procedures on creating custom controls using the Pbus
Protocol option.
Note
When you have completed setting up a device, or attempt to leave the
Communications Menu , you will be prompted to Confirm or
Cancel your changes to the installation settings of the switcher. If you
want to keep the changes you have made, press Confirm , and the new
setting will be stored.
