Defaulting Output Bus Video Formats
You can rapidly set all MLE and Aux Bus outputs to the same video format as the currently defined
system video format. If most of the buses on your Synergy Q/MD switcher use the system video
output format, this is an easy way to set them without having to configure each one separately.
Use the following procedure to set the default video format for all MLE and Aux Bus outputs:
1. Navigate to the Reference Menu as follows:

2. Press
Default Output BNC Types
to set all output BNCs to the system output video
format.
You will be presented with a confirmation screen and must confirm or cancel the
changes by selecting:

Confirm
— All MLE and Aux Bus output video formats will be changed to
match the current system video output format.
~
Cancel
— No changes to the output video formats will be made.
This completes the procedure to set the default video format for MLE and Aux Bus outputs.
Configuring Inputs
The Synergy Q/MD switcher needs to be configured with the video format of each input BNC. This,
in combination with the MLE and Aux Bus output video formats defined in the previous section,
allows the Synergy Q/MD switcher to determine whether the video from a particular input BNC does
not match the output video format on the current bus and needs to be converted.
Use the following procedure to set the video format for each input BNC:
1. Navigate to the BNC Menu 1-2 as follows:
• Press HOME B MORE B Setup B Installation B BNC .
2. Press BNC Type to display the BNC Type Menu .
