• Make sure that the PC can log into the e-
mail server.

stored in the server are the same as in the
machine.

actually used.
• Check that the e-mail address contains no
incorrect characters such as spaces.

• Use the “ping” command to contact the
router.
• Check that other devices connected to the
router can sent data over the router.

mail from the network
of the destination.
• Check whether e-mail can be sent to
another address on the same network, using
the application e-mail software.
• Check the error e-mail message.
