blinks about once per second to show that the router passed the POST and that
the internal router processor is running.
Table 2-1 defines the blink patterns.
2.6.3
System Fault LED (Amber)
The system fault LED lights to show that a fault exists in the router firmware or
hardware. Fault conditions include POST errors and over-temperature conditions.
The heartbeat LED shows a blink code for POST errors and the over temperature
condition. See
Figure 2-4 .
2.7
Chassis Controls
The maintenance button shown in Figure 2-5 is the only chassis control. Pressing
this button resets the router or recovers the router if it has become disabled.

2.7.1
Maintenance Button
The maintenance button is a multifunction momentary switch on the front panel. It
has the following functions:

Reset and Select Boot Image (see section 2.7.3)

Enable DHCP (see section 2.7.5)

Factory Defaults (see section 2.7.6)
