The Session Navigator
The Session Navigator provides quick navigation and session
controls. Each button alters the functions of the push-button
encoder and the Next and Prev buttons on either side.

1.
Channel.
Encoder and navigation buttons adjust the currently
visible fader bank on the FaderPort by one channel.
2.
Master.
This function is not available in HUI mode.
3.
Zoom.
Encoder and navigation buttons control horizontal zooming.
4.
Click.
Turns the metronome on and off.
Note:
This only functions
if a click track has been created for the Pro Tools session.
5.
Scroll.
Press once to enable audio scrubbing. Press twice to enable faster audio
scrubbing. Press Stop or any other Session Navigator button to disengage scrub.
6.
Section.
This function is not available in HUI mode.
7.
Bank.
Encoder and navigation buttons scroll through channels
in banks of sixteen or eight (model dependent).
8.
Marker.
Encoder and navigation buttons scroll through markers 1-9. Press
Encoder to drop a marker. Press Shift and Marker to cycle through the tools.

Pressing the right Shift button with any of the Session
Navigator buttons will access the following functions:

Write enable volume.

F2.
Write enable mute.
•
F3.
Write enable pan and send pan.
•
F4.
Write enable send volume.
•
F5.
Write enable plug-in.
•
F6.
Write enable send mute.
•
F7.
Toggle Fader Fixed or Velocity while in Edit Plug-in Mode.
•
F8.
Cycle through tools.
