9924871 R03 - 2014 Polaris Sportsman® 570 EFI Service Manual

Measure gap with a wire gauge. Adjust gap if
necessary by carefully bending the side electrode.

If necessary, replace spark plug with proper type.

CAUTION:

Severe engine damage may occur if the

incorrect spark plug is used.

Apply Anti-seize compound to the spark plug
threads.

10. Install spark plugs and torque to specification.

Recommended Spark Plug:

Champion RG6YC

Spark Plug:

7 ft-lbs (10 Nm)

Apply Anti-seize

11. Install spark plug wire into spark plug / engine.

12. Reinstall the (-) negative battery cable and driver’s

seat.

Engine To Frame Ground

Inspect ground cable connections. Be sure they are
clean and tight.

The engine ground cable runs from the upper starter
motor mounting bolt to the battery.

The chassis ground runs from the battery to the terminal
block located at the front of the machine near the fuse
box.
