Starter One-Way Clutch Installation

Install one-way clutch in clutch hub with flange of
clutch (F) engaged in recess.

NOTE: The one-way clutch can be installed into
the hub incorrectly. This will cause engine
cranking issues.

Clean screw threads in flywheel to remove all oil or
grease.

Apply Loctite® 272™ on the (3) bolts. Place hub on
flywheel and install (3) bolts.

Torque screws to specification.

One Way Clutch Retaining Bolts:

9 ft-lbs (12 Nm)

Apply Loctite® 272™

Flywheel Installation

Clean the threads, taper and flat of crankshaft to
remove all oil or grease.

Clean flywheel taper to remove all oil or grease.

Apply a small amount of PS4 engine oil to the flat
area (1) on the MAG side crankshaft. DO NOT apply
engine oil to the crankshaft taper.

Rotate crankshaft so the flywheel key (2) is facing
upward.
