10. Reinstall filter on main filter mount. Place filter clamp
over the assembly and tighten.
NOTE: Apply a small amount of general purpose
grease to the sealing edges of the filter before
reinstalling.
NOTE: The air filter should rest on the filter
supports (1,2). Proper placement of the air filter
is important to prevent rattles and air leaks. See
Illustration above.
11. Install air box cover and secure with the clips.
Air Box Sediment Drain
Periodically check the air box drain (1) located in the
bottom of the air box. Drain whenever deposits are
visible in the air box.

Remove drain plug (1) from air box.
2.
Drain air box.
3.
Reinstall drain plug.
NOTE:
The sediment drain will require more
frequent service if the vehicle is operated in wet
conditions or at high throttle openings for
extended periods.
