Important Maintenance
Instructions
Disengage the drive mechanism and stop the
engine before any maintenance, servicing
or cleaning work and before the elimination
of malfunctions. Always remove ignition key and
detach the drive shaft!
When performing service work on the raised machine,
ensure that it is supported safely using suitable sup-
ports!
Wheels and Tyres
Repair work on tyres may only be carried out
by skilled workers and with suitable tools!
Avoid an excessive inflation pressure. Danger of burs-
ting!
Stand clear of the tyre when inflating.
Periodically check the inflation pressure!
After each wheel installation, retighten wheel nuts or
bolts after the first 10 operating hours and then check for
tightness every 50 operating hours. For the tightening
torques see specifications).
Always observe the prescribed inflation pressure, see
»specifications«.
Hydraulic System
Before working on the hydraulic system, it is
essential to release pressure from the system
and to unfold the rotors.
Hydraulic oil forced out under high pressure can break
the skin and cause severe damage to health. In case of
injury by hydraulic oil report immediately to a doctor as
there is a grave risk of infection.
Discard used oil and grease according to regulations.
Inspect hydraulic hoses regulary and replace damaged
or deteriorated hoses by new ones.
Replacement hoses must meet the technical require-
ments specified the manufacturer of the implement.
Any repair work on the hydraulic system may only be
performed by a PÖTTINGER specialist workshop.
Bolts
Check all bolts for tightness and retighten if necessary.
Check that all split pins and roll pins are in place.
Lubrication
Observe the oil change intervals and the oil quality spe-
cified by the manufacturer. For lubrication use only good
quality grease or oil. Before applying the grease gun,
clean the grease nipples.
Grease all points that require lubrication, observing the
intervals specified in the lubrication chart.
Dispose of used oil and grease according to regulati-
ons!
Safety Frame
Refit the protection frames completely after any mainte-
nance or repair work.
