2. Feeder Setup - Input [affects DA95F only]

What It Does
A. Feeder Type
Standard,
Other
Allows you to set the type of feeder that is
being used with the DA95F printer.
Standard
- the standard Pitney Bowes feed-
er (WF9S) normally sold with the DA95F.
Other
- other Pitney Bowes or third-party feeder.
NOTE: Options B-E below only display if this
is set to “
Other
”.
B. Feeder Signal
None,
On-Off,
Pulse Off
Allows you to set signal type of
“Other”
feeder.
None
- no signal is specified
On-Off
- turns a 5 volt signal on whenever
one or more records are in the buffer to be
printed. The signal is turned off (0 volts)
once the last record in the buffer is being
printed.
Pulse Off
- the external feeder signal will
be asserted when the leading edge of the
envelope for the last address to be printed
is detected at the print heads. The signal will
be cleared 1 second later.
C. Mode
Normal Off,
Quick Off
Allows you to set the mode of
“Other”
feeder.
Normal Off
- This option turns a 5 volt signal
on whenever one or more records are in the
buffer to be printed. The signal is turned off
(0 volts) once the sensor detects the piece
to print the last record in the buffer on.
Quick Off
- This option allows the signal to
be turned off in a shorter time period than in
the “Normal Off” setting.
NOTE: This option only displays if “On-Off”
is selected for Feeder Signal.
D. Signal Polarity
Active ON,
Active Off
Allows you to set signal polarity of
“Other”
feeder. This option reverses the signal used
to trigger the feeder.
Active ON
activates an external feeder by
switching on the feeder signal.
Active OFF
activates an external feeder by
switching the feeder signal off.
NOTE: This option only displays if “On-Off”
is selected for Feeder Signal.
E. Pulse Time

Allows you to set the pulse time for the sig-
nal of the
“Other”
feeder.
NOTE: This option only displays if “Pulse-
Off” is selected for Feeder Signal.

TIP:
The Feeder Setup
menu allows you to
designate a different
type of feeder for your
DA95F printer instead
of the standard feeder
(WF9S).
NOTE: The standard
feeder is connected
to the 8-pin connec-
tor on the side of the
DA95F printer, while a
non-standard feeder is
connected to the
RJ-11
connecto
r by the power
switch.

After changing a
setting in the Feeder
Setup menu, you need
to power down the
printer and power it up
again for the new set-
tings to be recognized.
