What It Does
A. Quality
Executive,
Letter,
Draft,
Super Draft
Sets the horizontal print quality.
Executive (600 DPI)
- offers the darkest of
the four print qualities and prints material at
the highest resolution, slowest speed and
uses the most ink. Use when a professional
appearance is required.
Letter (300 DPI)
- use for envelopes that
require a finished, polished appearance.
Draft (200 DPI)
- prints documents fast and
saves ink.
Super Draft (150 DPI)
- yields the lightest im-
age of the four, the lowest resolution and the
highest print speed. Super Draft quality prints
envelopes faster and saves ink.
B. Light Mode
Off,
On
If OFF, the vertical print density is 600 dpi.
If ON, the vertical print density is 300 dpi.

NOTE: When “A. Name” displays and

is pressed, all the installed fonts names
are printed using their font characters along
with their Typeface IDs using Courier.
NOTE: When the name of the font displays
(Courier, Times New Roman, etc.) and
Test
Env.
is pressed, all the characters used in
the currently selected symbol set are printed,
16 characters to a row from code 0x20 to
code 0xFF in 12 point font.
B. Size
4 - 144 point
Sets the font size from 4 to 144 point.
C. Bold
Off,
On
Turns bold characters On or Off. Bold char-
acters have increased stroke weight (line
thickness) and therefore print darkest. Use
bold to emphasize text in an address.
D. Italic
Off,
On
Turns italic characters On or Off. Italic char-
acters have decreased stroke weight, print
at an oblique angle and print lightest. Italic
characters mimic script (handwriting) and are
used to emphasize text in an address that
requires a finished, polished appearance.
3. Font

TIP:
Currently, the
Barcode-only fonts,
such as Code 39, are
not selectable from the
list of fonts, but are
printed (or listed in the
control panel) as avail-
able fonts. There isn’t
a good test output for
barcode fonts, as the
font output prints the
name of the font in the
characters of the font
instead of the actual
barcode.
