Operation of the Instrument

Turret uncoded Lumina lamp (mount) 

1.

 

Start up the spectrometer, but do not ignite the flame. 

2.

 

Touch the 

Install Lamps

 button on the Lamp page of the touch screen. Fill in the required 

parameters for the uncoded lamps in the Install Lamps dialog.  

3.

 

Touch the 

On/Off

 check box to turn the lamps on. A total of 3 lamps may be turned on, a 

combination of 1 HCL lamp and 2 EDLs lamps. 

4.

 

Touch the 

Element

 entry field box. Select the desired element from the Select Element box. Touch 

OK

 and the instrument performs an automatic setup. 

NOTE:  To change the wavelength or slit, touch the corresponding entry field box and select the alternate 

wavelength or slit.
