Section 2C: Using Your Device’s Organizer Features
Beaming Information
Your Treo 650 is equipped with an IR (infrared) port that lets you beam
information to another Palm Powered™ device with an IR port. The IR port is
located on the top of your Treo 650, between the ringer switch and the antenna,
behind the small dark shield.
For best results, the path between the two devices must be clear of obstacles, and
both devices kept stationary. If you have difficulty beaming, shorten the distance
and avoid bright sunlight.
Beaming an Entry
1.
Select the entry or category you want to beam. (If a lock
appears next to
the item, it can’t be beamed.)
2.
Open the
menus
.
3.
Select one of the following on the
Record
menu:

Beam
sends an individual entry.
Tip:
If you beam a bookmark or a saved page from the Web browser, it beams
the URL, not the contents of that page.
