TRANSMISSION
c)
Press SPEED DIAL.
Enter the speed dialling code under which the
correspondent’s facsimile number has been
stored. Otherwise press
∨∨
or
∧∧
until the
relevant correspondent’s facsimile number
appears on the display and then press START
to confirm your selection.
The number and name associated with the
code appear on the display for a few seconds.
If, when you set a speed dialling code, the
message “NOT ENABLED” appears on the
display for a few seconds, this means that no
number has been stored under that code. If this
is the case, refer to the “Programming speed
dialling codes - normal and extended” section of
the “PROGRAMMING” chapter and program
the code.
2.
The facsimile machine starts to send the document.
If transmission was completed successfully, the
facsimile machine beeps and returns to stand-by
mode.
If the correspondent does not answer or the line is
busy, the facsimile machine, after a few seconds,
automatically retries transmission (automatic redial
feature). The message "REDIAL" appears on the
display.
If the document is removed, redialling is aborted.
If transmission still proves unsuccessful, after the last
retry, you can try to retransmit the document, providing
the document has not been removed. If the
correspondent’s name was entered on the numeric
keypad, you can retransmit by pressing REDIAL .
If you hear a beep and the error LED comes on, this
means that an error has occurred (e.g. an interruption
in the connection). If this is the case, press STOP to
switch the LED off and repeat the transmission proce-
dure.
If the “LAST TX REPORT” parameter was enabled in
the operating configuration, the facsimile machine
with print the report at the end of transmission.
