TRANSMISSION
4.
Call the correspondent in one of the following three
ways:
by pressing the DIAL key, typing the facsimile number
on the numeric keypad and pressing pressing START
to confirm, or:
by pressing the one-touch dialling key under which
the number was stored or:
by pressing SPEED DIAL followed by the speed
dialling code under which the number was stored.
In the example provided in the manual, the one-touch
dialling key 01 has been selected.
The correspondent’s name and number associated
with the key appear on the display for a few seconds.
(The operating procedures summarized above are
explained in greater detail in the “TRANSMISSION
FROM THE ADF” section).
5.
Repeat step 4 for all the other numbers that you want
to dial or move straight on to the next step.
6.
Press START to confirm all the numbers set and end
the procedure.
If a delayed broadcast transmission has been set, the
facsimile machine returns to stand-by mode.
7.
The facsimile machine starts transmitting to the first
correspondent selected.
If transmission was completed successfully, the fac-
simile machine beeps and returns to stand-by mode.
If the correspondent does not answer or the line is
busy, the facsimile machine continues dialling the
remaining numbers. At the end it retries transmission
to the numbers to which transmission was
unsuccessful (automatic redial feature).
If you hear a beep and the error LED comes on, this
means that an error has occurred (e.g. an interruption
in the connection). If this is the case, let the facsimile
machine redial the numbers to which transmission
was not successful and then press STOP to switch
the LED off and repeat the transmission procedure to
the correspondents who did not receive the document.
