FILLING UP/ELIMINATING PAPER JAMS
This chapter explains how to add paper, shows the areas of the facsimile machine where paper may get
jammed and explains how to eliminate the jams.
ADDING PAPER
FILLING UP/ELIMINATING PAPER JAMS
1. Lift the paper positioning lever. 2. Add the sheets (Xerox paper
with a unit weight of between
60 and 90 g/m
2
) so that the
recto side is facing the operator
console (max. 200 sheets of 80
g/m
2
paper, max. thickness 0.1
mm).
3. Lower the paper positioning le-
ver.
If the paper format is any other than A4, adjust the paper tray to the desired format before adding the paper
(see the "Paper" section of the "CONSUMABLES" chapter).
REMOVING JAMMED DOCUMENTS
If a document gets jammed or is not expelled correctly and the message “CHECK DOC. (XX)” appears on the
display, proceed as follows:
1. Lift the operator console and
remove the remaining docu-
ments from the feed slot.
2. Remove the jammed document. 3. Lower the operator console and
replace the documents in the
feed slot.
