SOLUTION
OVERHEATING
After a long period of continual operation, the facsimile
WAIT PLEASE
facsimile machine could overheat. In this case, avoid
performing operations that require use of the optical rea-
der for about 30 minutes. After a short time, the facsimile
will be able to continue printing and conclude any sus-
pended activities.
TX MEMORY FULL
Indicates that the there is not enough space in the
memory. Clear all documents that you no longer require
from the memory.
MESSAGES AND ERROR CODES ON THE DISPLAY
An error message followed by a code on the display indicates a fault in the facsimile machine’s operation. In
this case, you can try and restore the machine to operation by following the instructions given in the table
below; if the error persists, unplug the power cable and contact the Customer Engineering Service, indicating
the error code.
The table does not include the error codes as each message may be associated with more than one typeof
error, which will be identified by a specific code.

Check that the printing paper is inserted correctly.
CHECK MOTOR (XX)
Check that the print cartridge is free to move.
SCANNER ERR. (XX)
Remove the document and repeat the operation in
progress.
CARRIAGE ERR (XX)
Switch the facsimile machine off and on.
DIAG. ERROR (XX)
Switch the facsimile machine off and on.
Errors 03, 06, 07 and 09 do not prevent the machine from
working. You can ignore the error by pressing CLEAR.
Contact the Customer Engineering Service, however, as
soon as possible.
CHECK DOC. (XX)
Check that the document is not jammed inside the
machine and that it does not exceed the specified lenght
2m.
