PROGRAMMING
CLOSED NETWORK FEATURE
The closed network feature enables you to restrict the number of correspondents to whom the facsimile machine
can communicate. It is designed for transmission applications in a multiuser environment to prevent an
indiscriminate and wasteful use of the facsimile machine. In reception, it prevents the paper and ink from being
wasted on undesired reception of advertisements, etc.
The closed network is enabled by two separate operating configuration parameters: "CLOSED NETWORK IN
RX" and "CLOSED NETWORK IN TX" which can be selected from the operating configuration menu. The
CLOSED NETWORK IN TX parameter only enables transmission to remote users whose IDs are stored under
the one-touch dialling keys and who have been declared as belonging to the network by setting the relevant
field to YES when their ID were recorded.
Transmission in other modes or with IDs stored but not included in the network will not be allowed.
The latter parameter enables reception from remote users whose IDs have been stored under the one-touch
dialling keys and who have been declared as belonging to the network by setting the relevant field to YES when
his ID was recorded.
Reception from IDs not included in the network will not be allowed.
