RESERVED TRANSMISSION
When documents are reserved you can adopt a special procedure which assigns a password consisting of four
alphanumeric characters to each document to be sent. Instead of being printed immediately by the receiving
machine, the document will be stored in a specific location in the memory (private mailbox). It can be printed
once the password has been entered.
The password must be selected previously in agreement between the users of the transmitting and receiving
facsimile machines.
This kind of transmission can only be carried out between compatible facsimile machines that have the private
mailbox feature.
This section explains how to set reserved transmission. To cancel a reserved transmission operation, see the
“Connection activities” section of the “ACTIVITY HANDLING” chapter.
o
The facsimile machine is on. The document has been inserted and prepared for transmission (see the
“BEFORE TRANSMITTING/COPYING” chapter).
