Solving Problems
Identifying the Problem
When you have a problem with your unit, try to identify the problem by
following the steps below.

Is the power cord
disconnected from
the power outlet?
Is the power
switch turned off?
Plug the power cord
into the power outlet.
Turn the power switch
on.
Is the telephone line, or telephone
disconnected? Or are they
plugged into the wrong jack?
Connect the telephone
line or other cords
correctly.
Change the tone or
pulse dialling line.
Is your unit set to the correct type
of telephone line (pulse or tone)?
(Be sure to check if you have
moved or if the telephone lines in
your area have changed.)
Is the Error lamp on the operation panel flashing?
Check the display. See
the display message.
Is a message displayed on the operation panel
display?
Check the message
and take the
appropriate measures.
Look for the item corresponding to the nature of the
problem and take the appropriate measures.
