Performing RAID maintenance

Part 5: 1001rp Server Maintenance and Diagnostics

To replace the Mylex AcceleRAID352 RAID controller card

Review the manufacturer’s documentation for the replacement card.

Power down the server and disconnect all power cords.

3

Remove the chassis cover and locate the installed RAID card in PCI slot 
number 12.

4

Disconnect all cabling from the RAID card.

5

Use an adhesive label or a piece of tape to label each cable with its 
connection.

6

Loosen the screw located at the top of the card’s faceplate.

7

Remove the card from the chassis.

8

Unpack the replacement card.

9

Align the replacement card with PCI slot 12.

10

Apply downward pressure until the card is evenly and securely seated in 
the slot.

11

Secure the card by tightening the screw at the top of the faceplate.

12
