This represents the source from which data is read. For internal memory, it is replaced with
"memory number X", where X is 1 to 20. For USB memory, it is replaced with a file name.
7.3 Quick diagnosis
If you believe the instrument is malfunctioning, use
Table 7-7
to identify the problem and understand how
to deal with it. If you are still unable to solve the problem or if the method described fails to restore the
instrument to normal functioning, please contact the NF Corporation or its authorized agent.

The instrument does
not power up.
The power cord is not
properly plugged in.
Make sure that the power cord is securely inserted
into the connectors.
The power source does not
conform to the
specifications.
Use mains that satisfies the specifications.
External noise or other such
factors are causing abnormal
operation.
Install the instrument in a location that is free from
conditions that affect the normal operation of the
instrument.
Panel operations are
not possible
The instrument is operating
in remote state.
Press the
LOCAL
key.
If the instrument is in the remote with lockout state,
this operation will not be effective. In that case, use
the remote controller to return the instrument to
local state.
The instrument does
not operate as
described in the
instruction manual.
The instrument has not been
initialized.
Most of the explanation in the manual assumes that
the instrument has been initialized. From the menus,
select

[RESET]
and then press the
ENTER
button.
Printing with the
specified printer does
not work.
The printer is out of paper.
Refill the printer paper supply.
An error occurs during
calibration.
Measurement accuracy is
being decreased by external
noise.
Place the instrument in a location where the
conditions do not affect the calibration.
The calibration cables have
not been connected properly.
Make sure that the BNC adapter and cables are
properly connected to the
OSC

CH1
-
CH2
connectors. For more information on the
connections, refer to "
5.9.1 Calibration
".
