5.1 Analysis mode
There are four possible analysis settings for data measured on two channels: (CH1/CH2), (CH2/CH1),
(CH1), and (CH2). The mode is set using
【

】
–
[ANALYSIS MODE]
. Normally, the mode that is set
when the instrument leaves the factory (CH1/CH2) is used.
Even if the analysis mode setting is the same, the data that is displayed differs depending on the display
unit setting (

-
[DISPLAY UNIT]
).
■ When the display unit is GAIN
The analysis mode settings (CH1/CH2) and (CH2/CH1) differ in which channel used for the reference
signal, so the display of the gain and phase is reversed. Gain is displayed as the reciprocal (inversion of
sign for decibel units) and phase is displayed with inversion of sign.
When the analysis mode is (CH1) or (CH2), the voltage amplitude is displayed for each channel.
■ When the display unit is IMPEDANCE
There is no difference in display, regardless of whether the analysis mode setting is (CH1/CH2) or
(CH2/CH1).
When the analysis mode setting is (CH1), the input voltage amplitude is displayed for CH1. When the
analysis mode setting is (CH2), the input voltage amplitude at CH2 is regarded as current amplitude and
displayed. If the input to CH2 is 1 Vrms, it is displayed as 1 Arms (assuming that the input weighting
coefficient is 1.0).
Even if the analysis mode setting is changed after the measurement has been completed, the data remains in
internal memory and the data display is changed to reflect the change in analysis mode. The
correspondence of analysis mode and displayed data is described in "
4.6 Graph display mode settings
".
