5.11 Sequence measurement
Sequence measurement is a function for reading setting memories in numerical order and performing
sweep measurements. For one sweep, the frequency range can be divided into up to 20 parts and
measurement can be performed with different amplitudes, integration settings, etc. for each frequency
range.
If the sweep lower frequency limit (
【
Sweep
】
–
[SWEEP LOWER]
) in setting memory number m is set to
f
Lm
, and the upper frequency limit (
【
Sweep
】
–
[SWEEP UPPER]
) is set to f
Um
, the frequency sweep
measurement for one upsweep is performed in the following order.
(f
L1
→ f
U1
),(f
L2
→ f
U2
),
・・・
,(f
L(N-1)
→ f
U(N-1)
),(f
LN
→ f
UN
)
For a downsweep, the order of the frequency sweep measurement is as follows.
(f
UN
→ f
LN
),(f
U(N-1)
→ f
L(N-1)
),
・・・
,(f
U2
→ f
L2
),(f
U1
→ f
L1
)
In the above order notation, N is the highest setting memory number for which the sequence measurement
is performed. That number is set with
【
Sweep
】
–
[SEQ SWEEP]
. If set to
[OFF]
, sequence measurement
is not performed.
Within each sweep range, important parameters such as the oscillator amplitude are read from memory
together with the sweep frequency range and the values are set. However, graph settings and other such
settings are not read from the setting memory and the current settings are retained. In "
Table 3
–1 initial
settings
", the "Y" for "Sequence measurement" indicates parameters that are read from the setting memory
during sequence measurement. The current setting for parameter N is used and does not change.
The data obtained by sequence measurement is handled in the same way as normal sweep measurement
results (obtained with sequence measurement set to OFF).
• Graph display
: All sweep data is displayed
• Marker operations
: Handled as continuous sweep data
• Saving to or loading from data memory : Handled as a single data file
