SOURCES AND TRANSPARENCY
Some
Overlay
sources may be partially transparent. This might be because they are drawn from
a media player (
DDR
,
Stills
or
Titles
) showing a file with an embedded
alpha channel
, or perhaps
because
LiveMatte
is enabled for the source. In either case, Overlay will respect the
transparency. The ‘upstream’ switcher output will appear through (or around) the Overlay
channel source where appropriate.
Important Note: Use straight (a.k.a. “non-premultiplied”) alpha channels in TriCaster’s media
players. Premultiplied files may not yield correct results when overlaid on other imagery.
