* An audio source may or may not be associated with a given video selection, and may or may
not be affected by
Switcher
row activity – audio configuration is discussed in Chapter 16.
The
Program
and
Preview
rows are extended
with buttons labeled
V1-5
. These buttons
control display of the composite output of
TriCaster’s
Virtual Inputs
(Chapter 14).
The
Preview
row selection determines which source is queued up for
display by the next
Take
(cut) or
Transition
operation.
The
Program
row selection determines the primary video stream sent
to
Program Output
. Other imagery
may
be mixed with this primary
source at times – LiveMatte effects, overlays and the like, or an
incoming video source during a transition. However, it would be
reasonable to think of the Program row selection as supplying the
foundation for Program Output.
The
Effects
row selection provides an auxiliary video stream which
can serves in a variety of ways. For example, it could supply the
background scene for a
Program Row
video stream with
LiveMatte
enabled. It might be assigned to an
Overlay
channel (see Section
13.3), or
as
Input A, B or Overlay source for a
Virtual Input
(see
Chapter 16).
