DIMM UPGRADE
Memory upgrades are installed into memory module sockets
on the system board. The system board provides two
sockets for memory modules and supports up to 256 MB of
high-speed memory. The system supports SDRAM modules
in 8-, 16-, 32-, 64-, and 128-MB 64-bit, non-parity memory
configurations.
To determine the memory you need to purchase for a
memory upgrade, see “Checking System Memory.”
Checking System Memory
If you do not know how much memory is installed in your
system, check the amount by using the following procedure:
1.
On the Windows 95 or Windows NT 4.0 desktop, point
to My Computer and click the right mouse button.
2.
With the left mouse button, click
Properties
. The
General tab shows the random access memory (RAM).
This is the amount of system memory in your computer.
In Windows 95, you can also find the amount of memory by
selecting the Performance tab.
