8-18 Troubleshooting
There are some cases that an event log is registered as follows when you operate Windows
Server 2003 R2.

Event ID:
1001
Description: The IPMI device driver attempted to determine if the system supported an
IPMI BMC device. The driver attempted to detect the presence of the IPMI
BMC by searching the SMBIOS for Type 38 record. But either no record was
found or the record was not compatible with the version of the device driver.
If a SMBIOS Type 38 record was detected, the Dump Data field of the event
contains a binary representation of the record.

If you use "Hardware Management" which is provided by Windows Server 2003
R2, above-shown event log will be registered.

The system time lags:

If you do not use the server that adjust time such as NTP (Network Time Protocol)
Server, the system time may differ from actual time. In this case, use NTP server
or disable "Windows Time Service".
Fail to start the OS with the /3GB switch:

System often fails to start the OS with the /3GB switch.
In this case, please adjust the capacity of the user mode area using the /userva
switch in reference to the following URL.
