Emergency Management Port Console

Serial Line
- must be filled out when the line selection is set to Direct connect (Serial Line).
Baud Rate
- must be 19200 for EMP to connect properly.
COM Port No.
- set the COM Port number to which the null modem serial cable is
connected.

Connect
- initiates connection to the connected server. When this button is clicked, you are
prompted for the EMP password.
n
Config
- displays the Phonebook dialog.
n
Cancel
- exits the Connect dialog without any action taken.
n
Help
- displays dialog level help information.
Power On/Off
Selecting Power On/Off from the Action menu allows you to power the server on or off, with post-
power-up options. It generates the Power on/off dialog.
Power On/Off Dialog
Options available in the dialog are:
n
Power ON
- powers on the server.
n
Power OFF
- powers off the server. This option is not allowed if the server is configured in
RESTRICTED mode for EMP operations.
n
Post-power-up option -
sets the mode selection of the server to EMP active or BIOS
redirection. The setting is available after the next power-up. The default selection is EMP active.
n
Cancel
- exits the dialog without any action taken.
n
Help
- displays dialog level help information.
