1. MACHINE SETUP
Operations to execute after powering
It is
obligatory
reference the ram in order to access the automatic phase and execute a work
program.
The reference of the back-gauges axes is also
mandatory
. It is done automatically. This is done to avoid
doubts about the correctness of the current back-gauges axes targets because they could not be correct if
an axis was moved manually when the numeric control was off.
1.1. Ram reference
Comply with the following procedure to reference the ram:
- Press
- Press
- If the ram is up, press the
down pedal
to move it down
below the zero mark
. Otherwise, if the ram is
already down, it will start the re-ascent automatically (skip the next step).
- While the
down pedal
is pressed, when the
ram downs below the zero mark it stops
. Then,
release
the
down pedal
. This operation will activate the ram re-ascent automatically.
The ram will move upwards until it meets the zero mark of the optic linear scale where reference takes
place. It will now be possible to execute a program in automatic mode.
To repeat the reference procedure without turning off the NC:
- Press
[Repeat Reference].
- Follow the steps descrived above..
1.2. Back-gauges axes reference
To reference the back-gauge it is necessary to follow the steps below:
- Press
- Press
The back-gauges axes move towards the reference limit switch. Once the limit switch has been touched,
they will reverse their direction and, after having released the limit switch, they will reference to the first
zero mark of the encoder.
