To park the vehicle, firmly apply the parking
brake, and then press the electrical parking
switch to lock the wheels.
To prevent the vehicle from rolling, follow
these procedures:
Turn the front wheels towards the kerb and
move the vehicle forward until the kerb side
wheel gently touches the kerb.
Apply the parking brake and press the electri-
cal parking switch.
If necessary, apply chocks to wheels.
Turn the front wheels away from the kerb and
move the vehicle back until the kerb side
wheel gently touches the kerb.
Apply the parking brake and press the electri-
cal parking switch.
If necessary, apply chocks to wheels.
Never leave the Plug-in Hybrid EV System
running while you take a short sleep/rest.
Also, never leave the Plug-in Hybrid EV Sys-
tem running in a closed or poorly ventilated
place.
Always carry the key and lock all doors and
the tailgate when leaving the vehicle unat-
tended.
Always try to park your vehicle in a well lit
area.
NOTE
If the following warning is displayed in the
information screen in the multi information
display, operate the Electric parking brake
switch several times.
After operating the switch, if the display dis-
appears, there is no abnormality.

WARNING
Leaving the Plug-in Hybrid EV System
running risks injury or death from acci-
dentally moving the selector lever or the
accumulation of toxic exhaust fumes on
the passenger compartment.
Where you park
WARNING
Do not park your vehicle in areas where
combustible materials such as dry grass or
leaves can come in contact with a hot
exhaust, since a fire could occur.
When leaving the vehicle
CAUTION
When you leave the vehicle, be sure to
stopped the Plug-in Hybrid EV System.
The engine may be start suddenly by a
remaining amount decline of the drive bat-
tery.
