MERGE
This function is typically used when multiple instances of the same printed circuit board
assembly are to be soldered within the same profile. A user will program and perfect a single
instance of the printed circuit board assembly profile. Upon completion, the user can then create
multiple instances of this profile to correspond with a multi-PCBA fixture for use in production. This
procedure will describe how to produce multiple instances of a profile, after it has been perfected.
The fixture in this example will house four PCBA’s at 200mm apart in both directions.
1. Tap New Profile
to ensure that the workspace is clear of all programmed points.
2. Tap the Merge
button
2.1. Note: If the profile that is to be used was programmed in a different location than the multi-
PCBA fixture has the first board positioned, one must jog the corresponding offset.
2.1.1. EX: If the board was programmed at 25mm in the X – Axis and 25mm in the Y – Axis
and the fixture now holds the board at 75mm in the X & Y – Axes, then an offset of 50
must be used by jogging the head 50mm in the X – Axis and 50mm in the Y – Axis
2.2. In this example, the first PCBA was programmed using the multi-PCBA fixture
