its attachment method. When replacing the
light assembly, the IVSI must be removed to
route the light wire.
(1). Prior to installation of IVSI, route
Grimes light wire (L528K22 or
L528K20, supplied with Grimes
half-fixture post light assembly) as
follows:
(a). Remove adjacent indicator(s), if
required, to gain access to applicable
wire bundle.
(b). Insert wire into hole in panel face, as
shown. Temporarily tape light
assembly mask to panel, if desired.
(c). Remove wire bundle straps to add
and route wire to terminal block
TB700. Add straps as required. Cut
wire to correct length.
(d). Fit pin on end of wire and plug into
appropriate terminal block pin
connection (Ref. appropriate intercon
nect diagram, Chap. 96).
(e). Position support clamp as shown,
and attach upper portion to side of
panel with rivet.
(2). Install IVSI and Grimes lamp assembly
as follows:
(a). Position IVSI thru support clamp
into opening in panel, and attach at
lower right corner with screw, washer
and nut.
NOTE:
Ensure that adequate electrical bond
ing exists between light mounting plate and
panel face at attach locations.
(b). Position Grimes light assembly
mounting plate against panel and
install screws and nuts through
mounting plate and panel into IVSI.
(c). Attach Grimes light mask to mount
ing plate, using screws and washers
supplied with light assembly.
(d). Fit grommet and rubber strip(s) onto
clamp, as required.
(e). With IVSI securely in place, attach
bottom portion of support clamp to
side of panel with a screw, washer
and nut.
(3). Install tubing and fittings as shown.
NOTE:
The 369D294508-713 installation re
quires that the 369A8136-3 bracket and
CAV-110 static drain valve be relocated as
shown. The 369H6625 tee may be rotated to
facilitate installation. Route the -5 tube up
through the existing hole in the pedestal
base.
K. Completion of Installation
(1). Check entire installation for complete
ness.
(2). Check all static pressure lines (tubes).
(3). Clean all foreign material from instru
ment panel.
(4). (Slim-Line instrument panels and L/H
command T-Panels) Reinstall instru
ment panel left and right fairings and
hood.
(5). (R/H command T-Panels) Reinstall
instrument panel hood.
(6). Perform operational check of completed
IVSI installation.
L. Weight and Balance Data
Weight and balance data changes that result
from installation of the IVSI are listed (Ref.
Table 901). After installation, incorporate
changes to helicopter weight and balance
records as instructed (Ref. Sec. 08-10-00).
