(a). If adjustment is required, loosen
screw and retighten finger-tight in
sliding contact on older type resistor
R4 or, by turning rotating contact on
resistor currently being used, adjust
contact position to obtain specified
resistance. If 8.0
±
0.05 ohms resis
tance can not be obtained, perform
TOT Resistance Board Assembly
(TB9) Modification.
(b). Fully tighten screw on older type
resistor.
(c). Recheck resistance and repeat
adjustment, if necessary.
(5). Check indicator adjustment screw
setting.
(a). Connect tester to indicator terminal
lugs.
(b). Select 800
°
C on tester dial.
(c). If required, adjust screw on back of
indicator for +10
°
C, -0
°
C.
(6). Select 1000
°
C on tester dial; indicator
must indicate 1000
±
25
°
C. If this
requirement is not met, recheck
adjustment (repeat above procedure for
checking indicator adjustment screw
setting).
(7). Seal adjustment screw on back of
indicator with sealant (CM408) and
reinstall indicator in instrument panel.
(8). Reconnect TB9 to indicator terminal
