B. Hood and Fairing Installation
(Ref. Figure 203 or Figure 204 and Figure 205)
NOTE:
Refer to Section 96-05-00 for informa
tion on battery temperature sensing equip
ment.
(1). If required, install attaching hardware
and horn and light assembly to center
fairing.
(2). Connect electrical leads to light/switch
and horn housing; then install center
fairing.
(3). Install side fairings to canopy structure
with fasteners.
(4). Install or tighten fasteners joining two
side fairings.
(5). Install hood-attaching hardware;
install hood.
(6). Install face-attachment screws and
connect two panel light knife splices.

Line Instrument Panel Replacement
A. Slim

Line Instrument Panel Removal
(Ref. Figure 203 or Figure 204) The instru
ment panel/upper support assembly, along
with installed instruments and most internal
electrical wiring, is removable as a unit.
Main electrical power sup
ply wiring must be discon
nected for removal of the instrument
panel. External power and battery
must remain disconnected at all times
during this procedure.
(1). Disconnect engine torque gauge and
engine oil pressure gauge. Disconnect
pitot and static pressure lines from
altimeter and airspeed indicator.
(2). Disconnect thermocouple leads from
terminal board TB9 and TOT indicator.
NOTE:
Removing fuel shutoff cable (next step)
also releases clamp holding pitot pressure
line; leave line detached.
(3). Remove fuel shutoff valve control cable
(Ref. Sec. 28-00-00).
(4). Disconnect wire end of ventilating valve
control cable (Ref. Sec. 21-00-00).
(5). Disconnect electrical plug(s) as follows:
(a). Helicopters serial numbers 3 - 723:
J9-P.
