Examine the  short circuit of
camshaft position sensor signal
wire  to ground
Replace the wiring harness
Clear the DTC and verify

Ignition OFF
Camshaft position sensor wiring
harness connector (C24)
DISCONNECTED
EMS ECU wiring harness
connector (C4) DISCONNECTED

Check the continuity between
between pin 2 of the camshaft
position sensor wiring harness
connector and pin 46 of the EMS
ECU wiring harness connector
Check the continuity between
between pin 1of the camshaft
position sensor wiring harness
connector and pin 44 of the EMS
ECU wiring harness connector

Is the continuity

exists?

Examine the open circuit of
camshaft position sensor
ground wire and/or signal wire
Replace the wiring harness
Clear the DTC and verify

Suspect camshaft position
sensor internal failure
Replace camshaft position
sensor with a with a new one.
Check and verify for any new
DTC’s
If the DTC still exist, check for
proper fitment of camshaft
position sensor mounting bolt
Check for any internal damage
in cam shaft trigger wheel
