PROBABLE CAUSES OF FAILURE
NORMAL OPERATION
Ignition ON
The T50 input (crank) is monitored by EMS ECU is with in
the allowable duration
DTC DETECTING CONDITIONS
Ignition ON
The T50 input is available at EMS ECU for a longer time
duration
DTC REACTIONS
Engine will not start
HEALING CONDITION
Ignition Off/On
Short to battery in T50
input to EMS ECU
Ignition switch
malfunction
Continuos cranking
Faulty EMS ECU
Corrective Actions
1.
Check the battery for short to battery in T50 input to EMS ECU
2.
Check for ignition switch malfunction
3.
Check for mechanical failure in engine which results in lengthy continuos cranking
4.
Replace the EMS ECU
